Breakfast Seminar: Demystifying the Management Buy Out Process (Manchester)

MBOs can present a significant opportunity for an appealing alternative to a trade sale for the company owner wishing to unlock their wealth. An MBO can also provide a management team with an opportunity to take control of a business with a limited personal investment.

Whilst posing a tantalising opportunity for financial success, an MBO is also a technically complicated, time consuming and demanding process, which can expose the management team to a completely new level of risk.

Mitchell Charlesworth together with our specialist corporate finance arm, MC Vanguard, are hosting a free to attend seminar designed to demystify the complex area of MBOs, and will explain the key steps to take (and how to avoid some of the biggest mistakes) for a successful MBO including:

  • How to "lead" an MBO as the current owner
  • How to “open up” an opportunity and make the initial approach as the management team
  • Valuation, pricing and structure
  • Funding options
  • MBO process
  • What to watch for: avoiding costly mistakes

Who should Attend?

Company owners, who are contemplating selling their business, or facing succession issues, and directors/managers who are interested in purchasing a business in which they are already employed.

Brian, Jerry and Tim will be available after the seminar for complimentary one to one consultations to address any confidential questions delegates may have.

MBOs will invariably have tax implications so in addition to Brian and Jerry, we will have our Head of Tax, Tim Adcock, on hand to answer any tax questions that may arise.
